Thank you for installing the demonstration version of PocketDOS for
all Windows CE and Windows Mobile devices! This file should be saved using
'File'->'Save As' from the Notepad menu if you wish to view it at a
later date.

PocketDOS provides IBM PC/XT hardware compatibility for your Windows CE,
PocketPC or Windows Mobile Pocket Computer. Most operating systems and
applications designed for an Intel 8086 or 80186 compatible processor
with a CGA, VGA or text display can be run on your Windows CE, Pocket PC or
Windows Mobile device using PocketDOS. In addition, most applications designed
for the proprietary display modes of the Hewlett-Packard 95/100/200LX palmtop
computers can also be run on your device using PocketDOS.

PocketDOS is provided with several free and evaluation versions of DOS
operating systems, configured for use with PocketDOS. It is also provided
with a utility disk image, containing all of the necessary files to use other
DOS versions with PocketDOS. This disk image also contains a Microsoft Windows
3.0 mouse driver for use when running that operating system under PocketDOS.

Before installing DOS applications to your device, you should check that
they do not exceed the following requirements:

Intel 8088/8086/80188/80186 compatible processor (CPU)
700Kb of Conventional RAM
176Kb of UMB RAM
L.I.M. XMS 2.0 Extended Memory
L.I.M. EMS 4.0 Expanded Memory
CGA or VGA compatible display adapter (includes support for HP INT5F gfx modes)
2x 16550 compatible UART communication ports
1x parallel printer port
Standard (INT 33) DOS Mouse driver

Note: If using applications designed for HP95/100/200LX computers, the PALRUN,
INT5F or CG TSR programs do not need to be run, as this functionality is included
in the PocketDOS application.

In addition, applications should be able to be installed on a network drive, as
this is how PocketDOS "sees" the Windows CE/Mobile file system.

This demonstration version of PocketDOS displays a 'nag' screen for 15 seconds
every few minutes.
