BalanceBook for P/PC Version 2.21
================================

BalanceBook is shareware, you can use the non-registered version for a 30 day trial period. After registration (check BalanceBook homepage ) you will be able to download the full version. Before using this software please read the content of the 'License Agreement.txt' file.

Install:
========

• Required files :
  • 'BalanceBook.zip' (this file).
  • PocketC Runtime from www.orbworks.com
• Extract the PocketC runtime from the PC20RT.ZIP file and run the program, the runtime will be installed automatically.
• Extract 'balancebook.app' and both sample files from the BALANCEBOOK.ZIP file.
• Copy 'balancebook.app' to any directory on your device using your desktop computers explorer.
• Copy both sample files to the \My Documents\ folder on your P/PC.
• 'BalanceBook.app' can be started by double tapping on it using your P/PC's explorer.
• If you wish you can also create a shortcut to the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ folder on the P/PC using your desktop computer's explorer.

Note:
Data files will be stored in the \My Documents\ folder so be sure this is on your device.

The first time you start BalanceBook you will have to make a new file or you can open the sample file if you copied this to your device. Once you have done this you can start editing the account file. I suggest the first item of the file to be the initial account balance.

Program features:
=================

Left-top corner

• Digits show the records shown on the screen.

Middle-top

• Current file name, can also show 'FUTURE' entries.

Right-top corner

• total number of entries.

Add/Edit/Del buttons

• editing of entries; you can enter the day, month, year, description, amount, debet/credit and when entering FUTURE entries you can specify the number of months between the occurence of an item.(Interval).
  Note 1: Interval "0" enters the item only once into the main file.
  Note 2: The maximum amount allowed for entry is 99999.99

Menu button

• openening/creating of account files.
• switching between main entries and future entries. When you are working with FUTURE entries "[account name] FUTURE" will be shown on the top of the screen. After entering a future item, it will be copied to the main file automatically on the appropriate date, the future item itself will be retained in the file and the date will be advanced with the number of months you specified.
• EXPORT function exports to a [account name].TXT file in a format which can be imported into Microsoft Excel, using semicolon(;) separation.

• GRAPH function allows you to display your past balances graphically over a period of maximum 240 days.

• back/forward in file.

* button

• allows you to search for a date or description in the account file.

X button

• exit BalanceBook

List screen

• list of entries. Use the stylus to select an item for editing or deleting. Current selection is shown by a BOXED item. The FUTURE items list also shows the interval in months between payments in brackets.

Balance calculation

• The account balance is calculated upto and including the BOXED item, this allows you to review past balances. if you want to view the latest balance, you have to select the last entry.
