Importing from QIF, TXT or CSV files

Importing transactions into your current account is as easy as tapping on the File menu and selecting Import. A file dialog box appears, simply select the file to import and you are off...

The format of the file which is loaded is dependant on the file name extension:

.CSV - Comma separated values. (Excel)
.QIF - Microsoft Money Format
ano others are read as Tab Separated values.

NOTES: Extremely important!

Please be carefull that you are using the correct date type in the Settings dialog box, as the order of the day and month in the date field depends on this. For example: MM/DD/YY imported as DD/MM/YY will not work.

When importing from Quicken make sure that the "Quicken QIF Date" checkbox in the settings menu is checked. By default it is NOT! If you use Microsoft money, make sure it is un-checked.

This is to make Dollars and CEnts work with the different formatting these two apps have for year 2000 dates.
