Exporting Data to QIF, TXT or CSV files

Exporting transactions to text files is simple. Simply tap on the File menu, select Export...

The format of the file which is saved is dependant ont he file name extension you save it with:

.CSV - Comma separated values. (Excel)
.QIF - Microsoft Money Format
ano others are written as Tab Separated values.

NOTES: Extremely important!

Please be carefull that you are using the correct date type in the Settings dialog box, as the order of the day and month in the date field depends on this. For example extracting as MM/DD/YY and then trying to import as DD/MM/YY will not work.

When exporting to Quicken make sure that the "Quicken QIF Date" checkbox in the settings menu is checked. By default it is NOT! If you use Microsoft money, make sure it is un-checked.

This is to make Dollars and CEnts work with the different formatting these two apps have for year 2000 dates.
