Dollars and Cents has a unique feature for your use at a restaurant. On the main Transaction Details page, there is an Add Tip... menu. Tapping on this and selecting a percentage automatically adds that amount to the amount field after telling you how much the tip will be and allowing you to accept or cancel.
Very handy.
