Welcome to Dollars and CEnts!
Dollars and Cents allows you to keep track of up to 15 accounts. The first thing we will need to do to get started will be to create your first account. To do this, you tap on the Entry menu and then tap on Add Account
You will now be asked for a name to give your new account. You may want to enter "Checking", "Mastercard" or something of that nature. Once you have a new account, you can select it using the left hand dropdown selection box on the button bar of Dollars and CEnts. Its the one to the right of the help button.
The next step, and the first step you should take for every account is to add a new "Balance" transaction and record your current balance in it. Tap on the New Transaction button - its first button on the left of the button bar which looks like a sheet of paper with a star burst on the top left.

Type "Balance" into the Desc (Description) field. Its the first field and the one which your cursor starts in.
Type the amount you have as your balance in the field on the far right under the date. this is the amount field. You should select DR (Short for Debit) if the balance is negative or CR if the balance is positive, from the popup list to the left of the amount field.
Now tap OK and you are done with your first transaction and account...
